Just another day in Always on Availability world, the cluster members decide to revolt. Revolt was stamped at its infancy but not without its consequences. One of them was that my Storage Pools were in a state of Headlessness! Reattaching my disks via GUI proved to be unsuccessful as the disks disappeared post a reboot. (more…)
A new Azure IAAS VM deployment has been having an issue opening any Microsoft based sites, MSDN, TechNet, Live.com etc. The symptom also shows up while trying to get live accounts authenticated against any of these sites.
The issue can be resolved by doing an Ipconfig /flushdns.
But that is not a practical solution to do a flushdns each time the server has a problem resolving these sites. (more…)
Lack of coffee and various other non-azure reasons, the following error kept cropping up.
“New-AzureQuickVM : CurrentStorageAccountName is not accessible. Ensure the current storage account is accessible and in the same location or affinity group as your cloud service.”

The following steps need to be completed on all the Web Front Ends that serve the SharePoint site. URL Redirection can be achieved through load balancers as well. This post shows how to achieve it at an IIS level if Load balancers or other edge based devices do not exist. The need for this came for a project that was recently built on Azure. (more…)
