Lack of coffee and various other non-azure reasons, the following error kept cropping up.
“New-AzureQuickVM : CurrentStorageAccountName is not accessible. Ensure the current storage account is accessible and in the same location or affinity group as your cloud service.”
Okie Dokie… let’s look into this a bit deeper. Basically what had happened was I started using a new free trial account within Azure, instead of my MSDN one since I didn’t have enough credits left for this month and was itching to give the new A8 and A9 VM’s a whirl.
Interesting no CurrentStorageAccountName ? How can that be? Just created a VM through the portal. Weird. Cool to fix this need to find the name of the storage that I had setup before.
The following command sets the name which is placed under “Label” to the above subscription as the Current Storage Account Name.
Set-AzureSubscription –SubscriptionName $SubScriptionName –CurrentStorageAccount $StorageAccountName
Let’s check that again:
Try building that A8 VM now:
And the world is a safe place once again J
