The following post describes the installation process for Office Web Apps 2013 RTM

  1. Turn on the required Server side roles which are required for the installation of Office Web Apps 2013.

On Windows 2012 Server

Import-Module ServerManager
Add-WindowsFeature Web-Server,Web-Mgmt-Tools,Web-Mgmt-Console,Web-WebServer,Web-Common-Http,Web-Default-Doc,Web-Static-Content,Web-Performance,Web-Stat-Compression,Web-Dyn-Compression,Web-Security,Web-Filtering,Web-Windows-Auth,Web-App-Dev,Web-Net-Ext45,Web-Asp-Net45,Web-ISAPI-Ext,Web-ISAPI-Filter,Web-Includes,InkandHandwritingServices

On Windows 2008 R2 Sp1 (Remember to bring the server to have all latest patches and updates installed verify previous post http://wellytonian.com/2012/08/sharepoint-2013-and-office-web-apps/ )

    1. Once the above mentioned Pre requisites are installed browse to Office Web Apps 2013 RTM Installer and run through the binary installation
    2. Enabling HTTP for the WAC Server

New-OfficeWebAppsFarm –InternalURL http://$WACServer –AllowHttp -EditingEnabled
